Musicport 2002 saw the festival really making a breakthrough in terms of media coverage and we were able to undertake lots of workshops within local schools in the lead-up to the weekend.
Whirl Y Gig came and decorated the main hall with their amazing drapes and the headline acts included Misty In Roots, Vera Bila & Kale, Los de Abajo, Flook, Kekele, Celloman Batanai Marimba & Mugenkyo. .
With the typical October weather beginning to affect us the idea of a marquee on the cliff for the fringe festival was rapidly abandoned before the structure was even assembled and it decamped to The Met.
